Do you really want to show a real picture of yours?
The struggle is real.. people would not believe you for sure!!
There'll be times when you'll be judged for being just you..
Those stares, comments will make you think, is it worth, being true ?
Coz this world is full of fake deals,
Only a few would understand what it is to be real!!

We gotta live in this social media world..
And only tell stories that are easily sold!
Who cares if you are pure and clean at heart..
They always deal with people who are witty and smart!
But be genuine with the ones who love you with all their heart and soul..
Coz they'll be the ones that would stick around even if life takes a toll..

So buckle up ,smile and even if you pretend..
Just save yourselves from being questioned!!

TIME

Time!!

Most of us feel, we are running out of it..
Before it slips out of hands, lets do our bit...
We plan, decide and anticipate..
It is indeed precious so better not to waste!!
Such a simple word yet so important..
We know it all but act so ignorant!!

Often we complain about Time is that we have it so less..
We've got to reach new heights and progress..
All the hardwork now is for the later fun..
But the thing is.. time waits for none!!
Soon the chitchats and giggles we will yearn for..
Lets be with them in this moment before they've gone too far!!
It is the thing that we want the most..
We think we have it enough still treat it the worst...

So its all about where to spend,
With yourself - that's the current trend..
Or With loved ones , family and friends..
Coz sooner or later its going to end!!
You don't know the future, you've already spent the past..
So enjoy this moment till it lasts!

Time has a wonderful way of showing us what really matters a bit..
Coz its not about HAVING Time, its about MAKING it!!

That World!!

I miss :

The coffee dates,
That new lipstick shade..
The lil black dress,
The courier guy asking for address...
That winged eyeliner on point,
Long queues at our favourite Joint..
The visits at the salon,
A few drinks with some extra lemon..
The hustle bustle and those traffic lights,
The House-parties and crazy nights!
Golgappas n roadside food hopping..
Malls , Street and Online Shopping!
That school Bus goodbye felt so great,
Hubby must be coming anytime, that evening wait!

And now the home is full of giggles and noise, 
Learning new things n hobbies with poise..
This new slow life too has quite a few good moments..
But the same routine everyday, where's the excitement?

So Can't we have a mix of both the worlds..
And tell a story which is yet untold!
So let's promise ourselves when all this will be over,
We will write a new Book with a Balanced Cover!!
Life will always be with Ups n downs, but you shall keep a smiling Face..😊

The BRO - CODE!!

The smile on d face, the spark in the eyes..
In a minute the phone beeped almost thrice...
Others might think that its surely some date,
But now i know it is a regular trait!!
The texts, lingos are so difficult to decode..
Its not the usual stuff, they call it the
BRO-CODE!! 😎

I often wonder how much they can talk,
Every single update, even the color of the socks!!
They say its just about markets n stock..
Competition and property rates around the block!!

Morning texts, poo-time chats, breakfast update and the coffee dip,
You guys beat us girls even in the daily gossips!!😬
1 hour of talk after the office is the daily ritual,,
Can't even name one culprit coz the feeling is mutual!!

Discussing from workload to that girl at the bar,
When we ask for responsibility sharing, u think we've gone too far!!
Weekly meets without KIDS and WIFE,
Still they complain such is LIFE!! 🙄

Ok I've said enough and lets keep Jokes apart,
Its feels great to have FRIENDS to share out your heart!!

The first step that we took,
Heartbeat was fast and feet shook,
Mom dad were at the end to hold,
This shall pass , the mind told!!

Alphabets, numbers, art craft and juggling
Alpha beta gama - the mind was struggling...
But When finally the results were out,
This shall pass , without a doubt!!

The first smile and look by your crush,
There's competition too, you better rush..
Breakups and heartbreaks and so much more,
This shall pass, move on and see what's in store!!

Targets, meetings and boss's calls,
The wife says you have no time at all..
Loans , EMIs , taxes , bills and installments,
This shall pass, you are a master of adjustments!!

Those 9 months and hours of labour pain,
Sleepless nights, emotional rides , and the potty train..
Stories, playtime , endless memories that will last..
This shall pass, they grow up so fast!!!

And now is the time when we are worried the most,
Anxiety, stress , dullness , no parties to host!!
But isnt it the free time that we always wanted?
Took Mother Earth, family and friends for granted!!
So Lets become a child and play even if we're bored..
Listen to our parents' stories and bond some more,
Discover yourself and your hidden traits,
Help each other coz there r no maids!!

All we need is some calm and zeal,
 Sooner or later the world will heal..
We've handled difficulties with so much class,
The going gets tough, but THIS TOO SHALL PASS!!

In the wake of this pandemic, by now i am sure we must've realised how vulnerable we all are!! We think and we plan and we hope so much for the future but do we even know anything about the next moment!! We always knew that life's unpredictable but now we've actually come to terms with it!!! Ofcourse i dont want to sound all sad and depressing, and we dont have to panic but yeah we cant run away from the fact that no one is safe. It spares no caste, creed, designation or colour!!

So,, apart from the economy, businesses, tourism, etc, the thing thats suffering the most outta this virus is WE the MOMS!! Schools r shut, extra curricular activities are shut, malls and theatres are shut too!! But the energy of our kids is everyday doubling even more than the virus it seems!! And i am pretty sure if such remains the case, the inventor of a vaccine for this virus will be a mother for sure!!! 😜.. This was just to lighten up your mood ok? 😁

So jokes apart, ofcourse the world is not ending or something but lets just consider it as the worst case scenario and sit back and think what are the things that we dont want to lose ever!! Whats the most precious to you? M sure for most of us it will be our family!! And its not that we dont know this , we just dont realise it!! So lets stop taking them for granted . Lets take a moment everyday and appreciate them, our lives!! Lets be grateful for what we have with us today!! And yeah don't forget to tell that you LOVE them!! Coz the best thing to hold onto in life is Each Other!!!

Ok enough, i am not being paranoid or a pessimist.. We all will be fine, the world will be fine.. But whats the harm in expressing some love and seeking some more ?? 😜
