Dude, this is lit AF!!
Bruh, I dun wanna do third wheeling!
BAE, its G.O.A.T !!
Every second word is F**k! for good , for bad, for happiness, for sadness , for excitement, for angst, for love and ofcourse for breakups!!
So if you're surrounded by a bunch of teens/ young generation (as now being 30+ is a sign of ageing ) , such kinda millennial slang is all that you can hear! And I am pretty sure half of it will go above the head!
The other day, I just overheard my niece's conversation with her friends and I felt so outdated. I mean m not that old yet! But their talks were certainly making me feel as if I am from some other era.. And the funniest part is that they feel their life is so complicated and tough.. at 16/17 you think that its end of the world if it's a problem, for every matter there has to be gyaanbaazi, they want to be independent but dont want to take responsibility at the same time , and on group chats where they're too lazy to type, they would rather record a message and chat 🙄.
So yeah, about that, my 8 year old daughter is already a teenager I feel! She has a opinion for everything, she will do things only if and when she wants to, wants to dress up on her own, and uses a stress reliever ball. At the age of 8, I didn't even know what is stress ! We never objected whatever mom made us wear even if we looked like clowns. They want to have sleepover parties already.. can you beat that! And if by chance you get to listen the conversations and plans with their girl gang, you'll feel you are from some other planet already!! Thank god right now they have that boys vs girls thing, but pretty soon it's going to be this boy vs that boy comparison!! They already know all the slangs and some years down the line if you really want to communicate or understand their talks , I feel you'll have to take up a course or something!
And I dont even want to think how will my 3 year old turn out to be! Looking at her tantrums , she's going to be one step ahead of her sister. My future definitely looks very bright!! 😬😫.. As they rightly say, every 5 years is a generation gap now!!
So every day this is my prayer:
Dear God, please grant me the serenity to accept my kids can be jerks,
The courage not to scream at them constantly ,
And the wisdom to realise where they probably got it from!! 😏
P.s . Now i hope you've figured out what does the title of this blog mean!!
