Because, you always have a Choice!!

How far would you go for love!

I've always yearned for this romantic life , have always thought that maybe there is someone who'd do anything for me, take risks, plan events,  surprise me, awe me, make events wonderful and what not!! All these web series and movies have created this high hopes- expectations in the mind, heart , thoughts andddd....!! Never mind! 😬

But does it really exist?? And if it does,  does it really last long? I mean in the one night stand Era, do you even have the courage of having hopes? Does the term “stability” exist in your dictionary? Can you wait for someone your whole life? And maybe it's not about can you? It's - “would you?”

At times I really feel I want to experience this generation’s relationships! How does it feel to be unattached? Do you feel Liberated? Free-bird? Casual ? Unapologetic?? Are there actually no-strings attached ? Is it actually OK with you  to have open relationships? Or you just want to play cool.. And do you compare one of your partner with the other one? Are you guys actually confused about your status or you just want to explore options? Why can't you value what you have.. why do you keep looking for options??  I am sure breakups affect you but don't you guys move on very quick!! Even if you’re broken from within, you think it’s uncool to show your emotions and Super Cool to move on!! Even rejection or affection is just to be shown on Reels rather than Real life!!

God!!!!  These are quite a few questions and I doubt any of the millenials would be having answers to it.. but do they even care to ponder!! Aren't they cool with their No- Brainer attitude?? Well I certainly want to know coz in the coming years, my kids will be dealing with all this and I am hoping that I could be of some help to them! (Which I am sure they'd not want πŸ˜…)

So coming back to reality check.. we might not be having mushy days , romantic talks , long walks!! Sometimes you think life's all perfect & the very next moment it's all hunky dory..But at the end of the day, you know you have that one person to whom you can pour out your heart.. you will stick around even if it's for kids or family sake.. there is stability... there is a sense of belonging! Even if it’s not very correct romantically, but yes as a best friend!!

I am not old fashioned,  I am totally cool with live-ins .. in fact it's kind of better these days because you can test the compatibility. But yeah I don't understand this confused mode of generation COOL! And believe me , ours must be the most imperfect relationship, but that's life!! Many times, you feel like giving up, you feel you’re in a total wrong space .. but weren’t you taught to be brave and strong since childhood and face every obstacle with patience and perseverance!! πŸ€ͺπŸ˜…

Jokes apart, I am sure I am the last person anyone would come for relationship advice, but if you make peace with whatever or whoever you have in life, you’ll be sorted. Well if Hrithik Roshan is a second chance, then I am all for it ..  everything I ever said is b*****hit😜

So, I am really hoping the Gen Z (including my kids) learn to make choices .. good or bad they’ll figure it out eventually but at least they shouldn’t be scared of making it or remain confused forever !!

As they say,

“We all make choices , but in the end, our Choices make us!!”

  1. Filmy love is what gets us all confused . We think candle light dinners , long walks and getting flowers is what love is all about.
They are all important but in the end when you CHOOSE to make a commitment and stick through thick and thin, that you realise what is true love.
